The Raiders only had two players on their first injury report of the 2026 season, but they were both significant ones.
It was a better day for running back Ashton Jeanty than tight end Brock Bowers. Jeanty was listed as a full participant as he continues to work his way back from the ankle injury that sidelined him for the final weeks of the team’s summer work.
The full practice bodes well for Jeanty’s availability against the Dolphins in Week 1 and his presence will be all the more important due to Wednesday’s news about tight end Brock Bowers.
Bowers did not practice and he is expected to miss at least this weekend’s game after having meniscus surgery this week. Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak held a press conference before the Bowers news broke and did not indicate there was an issue with his knee, but it will surely come up again the next time Kubiak is in front of the media.
