Avery Long will make his SuperMotocross League debut with AEO Powersports, joining Talon Hawkins and Lux Turner in the 250 division. Long is expected to race the entire SuperMotocross schedule.
“I’m super excited to formally announce that I’ll be racing for [AEO Powersports KTM Racing team] this upcoming SuperMotocross campaign,” Long posted on Instagram. “I can’t wait to start my professional career with this amazing group of people. See y’all at A1.”
Long, 19, advances to the professional ranks after a successful amateur career that made him the 2022 AMA Amateur Rider of the Year and a pair of Monster Energy Supercross Futures top-10s in 2023.
“Man, I cannot thank the [NSA Factory Amateur Team] enough for the last three years of opportunity,” Long said. “[…] thank you for taking me in under your wing and treating me like family. You took a chance on me, [saw] the potential, and we haven’t looked back since. We have accomplished many things together, had so many highs, but also so many lows and you’ve been there for me through it all. I have loved everything this team has stood for and wouldn’t have wanted to represent anyone else more over the last three years.”
Long and the organization will be joined by another rookie, CJ Bernard, when the Pro Motocross season begins.
