As the Buccaneers try to get closer to a division title, their most important player is banged up.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield didn’t practice on Wednesday, due to a knee injury.
Mayfield last appeared on the injury report in Week 14. He fully participated in practice all week, despite Achilles tendon and knee injuries.
Other Bucs not practicing in advance of a Sunday night visit to Dallas were linebacker K.J. Britt (ankle), receiver Mike Evans (rest), tight end Cade Otton (knee), receiver Sterling Shepard (foot), safety Antoine Winfield (knee), and tackle Tristan Wirfs (foot, knee).
Limited were safety Mike Edwards (hamstring), defensive end Logan Hall (shoulder, wrist), running back Bucky Irving (back, hip), safety Christian Izien (groin), safety Tykee Smith (knee). Defensive end William Gholston (knee) and receiver Kameron Johnson (ankle) fully participated.
The 8-6 Bucs face the 6-8 Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
