Bayer Leverkusen vs. AC Milan live stream, prediction: Where to watch Champions League online, TV channel

Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen will meet AC Milan on Tuesday for Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League’s league phase at the BayArena. The German side started the 2024-25 European season off well by winning 4-0 against Feyenoord in the first clash of the tournament. Paulo Fonseca’s team, on the other hand, struggled a lot in the first games of the Serie A season and also lost 3-1 to Liverpool in the Champions League’s opener, but when things seemed to go in the worst direction possible, the Rossoneri managed to win the Derby della Madonnina against Inter and won 3-0 against Lecce over the past weekend. On Tuesday, they meet for their second Champions League game of the season. Here’s our storylines, how you can watch the match and more:

AC Milan: Bayer Leverkusen (away), Club Brugge (home), Real Madrid (away), Bratislava (away), Crvena Zvezda (home), Girona (home), Dinamo Zagreb (away).

Team news

Bayer Leverkusen: We’re not expecting changes in the team coached by Xabi Alonso, after Bayer drew on Saturday against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. The Spanish manager should name the ideal starting eleven for their home debut in the Champions League against AC Milan.

Possible Bayer XI: Hradecky; Hincapié, Tah, Tapsoba; Grimaldo, Andrich, Xhaka, Frimpong; Wirtz, Terrier; Boniface.

AC Milan: Paulo Fonseca will have to deal with the absence of Alvaro Morata, who is not expected to play as he’s recovering from a minor injury suffered last week. Former AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham should replace him, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek playing as number ten behind the striker. Emerson Royal should also start instead of captain Davide Calabria on the right.

Possible AC Milan XI: Maignan; Emerson Royal, Gabbia, Pavlovic, Theo Hernandez; Fofana, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Abraham.

Prediction

AC Milan are in a good moment after two consecutive wins, but the game against Bayer Leverkusen is a difficult one. On the other side, Xabi Alonso’s side are willing to impress in their Champions League home debut. Pick: Bayer Leverkusen 1, AC Milan 1.
