The Bengals should have more points than they do after reaching the Denver 22, 2 and 2 on their three drives of the first half. They scored one touchdown, turning it over on downs on failed fourth downs on the first two possessions.

The Broncos took a 3-0 lead on their first drive, going 58 yards in 10 plays after receiving the opening kickoff. Wil Lutz kicked a 30-yard field goal after stalling at the Cincinnati 12.
The Bengals were stopped on fourth-and-1 from the Denver 22 when Chase Brown was stopped for no gain by Nik Bonitto. They were stopped at the 2 when Joe Burrow as sacked for a 3-yard loss by Jonathon Cooper.
The sack of Burrow came after Ja’Marr Chase dropped a touchdown pass that hit him in the hands.
The Bengals finally scored on Burrow’s 2-yard touchdown pass to Tee Higgins with 1:49 left in the half.
Cincinnati has outgained Denver 162 to 102, with Burrow going 15-of-20 for 121 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Mike Gesicki has five catches for 40 yards and Higgins three for 25. Chase has added two receptions for 20 yards, and Brown has run for 45 yards on 13 carries.
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is 10-of-12 but for only 68 yards, with Devaughn Vele catching two for 27.
In injury updates, the Bengals list right tackle Amarius Mims as questionable to return with a right hand injury. Mims is playing with a club on his broken hand. Devin Cochran has replaced Mims.
