Cardinals place LB Jesse Luketa on injured reserve

Cardinals linebacker Jesse Luketa’s season is over unless the team makes the postseason.

Luketa is required to miss at least four games after the Cardinals placed him on injured reserve Friday, the team announced. He injured a thigh in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

He has three sacks this season.

Mack Wilson Sr., who has been part of the edge rotation as well as his usual role at inside linebacker, won’t play Sunday with a concussion.

The Cardinals signed linebacker Milo Eifler from the practice squad to the 53-player roster. He joined the team’s practice squad Oct. 30.

Eifler has appeared in 15 career games with Washington and Atlanta.
