Colts place OT Braden Smith on NFI list

Colts offensive tackle Braden Smith officially will not return in 2024.

Indianapolis has placed Smith on the reserve/non-football illness list. With just four games left, that will end Smith’s season.

Smith has been out of practice due to a personal matter. Head coach Shane Steichen said earlier in the week that he wasn’t sure if Smith would be able to return at all this season.

A second-round pick in 2018, Smith has started 92 games for the Colts over the last seven seasons.

Indianapolis has elevated guard Mark Glowinski to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday’s match against Denver.
