David Benavidez and David Morrell are set for a high-stakes light heavyweight showdown on Saturday night. Benavidez and Morrell are both fighting at 175 pounds for the second time since the two left super middleweight after failing to secure fights with division kingpin Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
The winner of Benavidez vs. Morrell will become the obvious challenger for the winner of the Feb. 22 rematch between undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol. Benavidez and Morrell also both enter the fight undefeated and with months of growing animosity between them.
The featured undercard bout also promises fireworks, when Brandon Figueroa defends the WBC featherweight championship against former unified junior featherweight champion Stephen Fulton. Fulton won a 2021 Fight of the Year contender over Figueroa by majority decision.
CBS Sports will be with you throughout the entire way on Saturday, beginning with the start of the pay-per-view broadcast at 8 p.m. ET, so be sure to follow along with the live results and highlights below.
