Dolphins WR Grant DuBose is expected back in Miami on Wednesday

The Dolphins placed wide receiver Grant DuBose on injured reserve on Tuesday and head coach Mike McDaniel offered an update on his status on Wednesday.

DuBose remained in a Houston hospital after suffering a head injury in last Sunday’s loss to the Texans and McDaniel said at his press conference that DuBose’s condition has improved enough to return to Miami.

“Expecting him to travel home today,” McDaniel said. “Haven’t seen him, talked to him, and we’re all just very, very excited to get to see him. He’s been on the constant mind of a lot of people. And, yeah, he’s doing well, taking it a day at a time.”

The move to injured reserve means DuBose won’t be able to return to action unless the Dolphins were to somehow find themselves in the divisional round of the playoffs. That likely means we’ll next be seeing him next season.
