Dre Greenlaw says knee soreness won’t keep him out this week

49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw returned 10 months after tearing his Achilles in the Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs in February. He played 30 snaps in the loss to the Rams before leaving with knee soreness last Thursday night.

The discomfort should not affect his availability for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, Greenlaw said.

“My knee was a little off, a little tweaky,” Greenlaw said on KNBR on Tuesday, via David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com. “I feel better this week. Luckily, we had a few extra days [off], so I definitely feel better this week. Just doing everything I can to make sure I can go Sunday. I should be up. No doubt, should be able to go Sunday.”

Greenlaw could be playing his final games for the 49ers. His future is uncertain as he is scheduled to become a free agent in March.

“My attitude? Honestly, I’m not thinking about all of the free agency stuff,” Greenlaw said. “I’m just thinking about three games that I got left with my teammates. At the end of the day, I’m probably going to be a free agent regardless, so I’m not trying to rush the process of being a free agent.

“I got three games left to enjoy with Fred Warner, [Nick] Bosa and [Brock] Purdy, and all those guys, so when that time comes, I can’t stop it. I can’t do nothing about it. All I could do is just enjoy these three games.”

He has spent six seasons in San Francisco.
