Eagles brought in QB Ian Book for a visit

With two quarterbacks dealing with injuries this week, the Eagles may be turning to a familiar face for some depth.

Via Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, free agent Ian Book visited with Philadelphia this week.

Book, 26, was with the Eagles in 2022. He has not been with a team since the Chiefs waived him in August.

A fourth-round pick in 2021, Book started one game for the Saints as a rookie. He completed 12-of-20 passes for 135 yards with two interceptions.

Philadelphia starting quarterback Jalen Hurts is dealing with a concussion and was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday. Backup Kenny Pickett was listed as limited with a ribs injury.

Tanner McKee is currently the only other quarterback on the club’s roster.
