Justin Herbert is back at practice on Thursday

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is back at practice on Thursday.

Reporters at the open portion of the team’s second practice of the week share word that Herbert is on the field. He did not practice on Wednesday because of a left ankle injury and a thigh contusion.

Herbert said that he took Wednesday off because he didn’t think he would be able to go full speed during the reps in the team portion of practice. He also said that his ankle injury is not as bad as the one he suffered in Week Two.

Herbert did not miss any time because of that injury, which joins his presence on the practice field as reasons for the Chargers to feel good about their chances of having the quarterback against the Buccaneers.
