Lions waive S Brandon Joseph after early Saturday arrest

Excuses are made for the stars. Examples are made of the scrubs.

It’s true at every level of every sport. It was proven again on Saturday, when the Lions waived safety Brandon Joseph on the same day he was arrested for suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence.

Safety Ifeatu Melifonwu was activated from injured reserve. Which means Joseph’s roster spot might have been in jeopardy anyway.

Undrafted in 2023, Joseph spent two seasons with the Lions. He appeared in 14 games with one start in 2024.
