Monday Night Football: Vikings pull away from Bears 30-12

The Vikings won their seventh consecutive game, pulling away from the Bears to win 30-12.

Minnesota moved to 12-2, tying Detroit and Philadelphia for the best record in the conference, while Chicago fell to 4-10 with an eighth consecutive loss.

The Vikings led 13-0 at halftime but pulled away with 1-yard touchdown runs by Aaron Jones and Cam Akers in the second half.

Minnesota outgained Chicago 329 to 284, with Sam Darnold completing 24 of 40 passes for 231 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Justin Jefferson caught seven passes for 73 yards and a touchdown and Jordan Addison had seven catches for 63 yards.

Jones ran for 86 yards on 18 carries and Akers had 24 yards on 10 carries.

The Bears had self-inflicted wounds.

They had a touchdown negated by offensive lineman Doug Kramer failing to report as an eligible player while playing fullback, and then offensive lineman Kiran Amegadjie was called for a hold. The Bears settled for a field goal.

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams fumbled on a blind-side hit from Jonathan Greenard after the Bears reached the Vikings 29, and D’Andre Swift twice was stopped on fourth-and-1. The Bears were 1-for-12 on third down and 1-for-3 on fourth down.

The Bears came away with only six points on four drives that ended at the Minnesota 29, 29, 11 and 21. Their only touchdown came with 5:19 left on a 16-yard pass from Williams to Keenan Allen.

Williams was 18-for-31 for 191 yards, with Allen catching six for 82 yards. Swift ran for 79 yards on 19 carries.

Greenard had six tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack and a forced fumble.
