Nico Collins hurt his hamstring in Wednesday’s practice

Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice due to a hamstring injury that took place during the session.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Collins picked up the injury during the workout. He went for further evaluation after practice was over and doctors believe that he avoided a serious injury.

That doesn’t put Collins in the clear for this Sunday’s game against the Bengals, however. Hamstring injuries can linger and playing before an issue is resolved can sometimes aggravate the initial injury.

More word on Collins’s status will come with Thursday’s injury report, but a final decision on his availability in Week 2 may go down to the wire.
