Stingley had two of the picks and helped hold Tyreek Hill to two catches for 36 yards.
Tagovailoa went 24-of-40 for 196 yards with a touchdown and three picks.
The Texans had only 181 yards, and their leading rusher was Dare Ogunbowale, who went 35 yards to the Miami 9 on a fake punt. Nico Collins scored both of the Texans’ touchdowns but had only 17 yards on four catches.
C.J. Stroud was 18-of-26 for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
