49ers bring back DL Kevin Givens

Defensive lineman Kevin Givens spent the last seven seasons with the 49ers and he’ll have a chance to make it eight in a row.

The 49ers announced that they have signed Givens to their 90-man roster on Sunday. Defensive lineman Evan Anderson was waived in a corresponding move.

Givens signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He played in one game as a rookie, but saw action in 65 regular season and playoff games over the next four years. He played in eight games in 2024 and had two tackles in five appearances last year.

Givens has 104 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries across all the games he’s played for the 49ers and will try to add to that total this fall.
