Eagles put Landon Dickerson on injured reserve

Eagles guard Landon Dickerson will miss at least the next four weeks.

Dickerson is going on injured reserve, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

In Sunday’s opener against the Commanders, Dickerson had a rough day in pass protection, although Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni praised his run blocking. Although the exact nature of Dickerson’s injury has not been reported, it appears Dickerson was playing through something, and he and the team have now decided he needs at least a month to get healthy.

Dickerson said this offseason that he has rethought his approach to playing through injuries, although he denied talk that he was thinking about retiring because of the physical toll that football has taken on his body.

The 27-year-old Dickerson was a second-round pick of the Eagles in 2021 and is a three-time Pro Bowler.

The Eagles will likely go with either Drew Kendall or Willie Lampkin at left guard while Dickerson is out.
