Dolphins DE Chop Robinson in concussion protocol, out for Sunday

Dolphins defensive end Chop Robinson will not play Sunday against the 49ers.

Robinson was diagnosed with a concussion during Wednesday’s practice, and he remains in concussion protocol.

The Dolphins remained out West, practicing in Napa, California, after last week’s season opener against the Raiders.

Robinson was limited on Wednesday’s injury report and did not practice Thursday.

The Dolphins will lean on Josh Uche, Clelin Ferrell, Rob Beal Jr. and Malik Herring to get after Brock Purdy, Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley said, via Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.

  • It’s all of the above. We might do some other things to help out,” Hafley said. “But I have confidence in those guys. . . . They’ve done a good job at practice this week, and it’ll be the next man up.”

Robinson, drafted 21st overall in 2024, has 10 sacks in his career and had three pressures in Week 1.

Robinson had two concussions in 2025, which kept him sidelined for two games.

Inside linebacker Ronnie Harrison Jr. (hamstring) also won’t play.

Long snapper Tucker Addington (shoulder) is questionable after three consecutive limited practices.
