Report: College Sports Commission is investigating North Carolina football

It’s been a rough Monday for North Carolina football.

The day began with an announcement that UNC football G.M. Michael Lombardi has been placed immediately on paid administrative leave.

Also, Pablo Torre of Pablo Torre Finds Out reports that the College Sports Commission is investigating the Tar Heels football program.

The CSC enforces NCAA rules regarding institutional revenue sharing, third-party NIL deals, and roster limits.

It’s unclear whether there’s any connection between the Lombardi situation and the CSC investigation.

Pete Thamel of ESPN has reported that the Lombardi investigation was sparked by an internal complaint filed by a former UNC front office employee.
