Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee to have surgery for torn ACL

Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee’s knee injury didn’t look good when it happened, and now it’s confirmed that he needs surgery to repair a torn ACL.

New Orleans head coach Kellen Moore confirmed today what was feared about Bresee’s injury.

“He’s gonna have surgery,” Moore said.

Bresee suffered the injury in practice on Wednesday. His absence will be a big loss for the Saints, who drafted him in the first round in 2023 and picked up his fifth-year option this year. Bresee will now get ready for the 2027 season, when he has a guaranteed salary of $13.9 million.
