Pass rusher Myles Garrett has not practiced much this summer because of knee swelling, and he did not practice Tuesday.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year will play in Thursday’s season opener in Australia, head coach Sean McVay said. It will mark Garrett’s debut with the Rams, who traded for him in June.

Garrett returned to practice Sunday and also participated on Monday, but the Rams did not have to release their first practice report of 2026 until Tuesday. And Garrett did not do any work with teammates before the team’s departure for Melbourne on Tuesday night.

Defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who will not make the trip, had limited work on Tuesday as he works his way back into playing shape. Donald has not played an NFL game since 2023.

Tight end Tyler Higbee (rest), offensive tackle Alaric Jackson (rest), cornerback Jaylen Watson (toe) and linebacker Byron Young (rest) did not participate.

Linebacker Grant Stuard (hamstring) was limited.
