A.J. Brown says he dislocated his thumb in practice, but “you keep going”

Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown picked up an injury in practice recently, but it didn’t keep him off the field.

Brown said on NFL Network that he dislocated his thumb while working against cornerback Christian Gonzalez in Monday’s practice. Brown was checked out by doctors before returning to

“It was tough,” Brown said. “I tried to get back into that flow state zone really quickly. Obviously, you’re going through some pain. The game is what it is and you’re gonna get bumps and bruises. I’m not coming out of practice. Thumb out of place, you keep going.”

Brown said he suffered the same injury early in a season while he was in college at Ole Miss and did not miss any time, so it doesn’t sound like the Patriots will need to worry about him being thrown off stride by this bump either.
