Hearing for Antonio Brown plea deal is postponed until October 28

Former NFL receiver Antonio Brown arrived to court on Wednesday, ready to strike a plea deal that would resolve an attempted murder charge with a no-contest plea to aggravated assault. That didn’t happen.

Via the Associated Press, the presiding judge was in the middle of a trial in a different case. She postponed the hearing until October 28.

“It’s a setback because it’s another month that my client has an ankle monitor on and doesn’t have closure, which everybody in this [case] wants,” Brown’s attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, said after the hearing was postponed.
