Hunter Henry, Patriots agree on two-year extension

Tight end Hunter Henry has spent the last five seasons in New England and his run is set to continue beyond the 2026 season.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Henry has agreed to a two-year extension with the Patriots. The report does not include any word on the terms of Henry’s new deal with the team.

Henry followed up a 66-catch 2024 season with 60 catches for a career-high 768 yards last year. He caught seven touchdowns as a frequent and reliable target for quarterback Drake Maye and Monday’s agreement means he will continue to be a significant part of the offense as Maye continues to develop over the coming years.

Henry began his career with five seasons as a Charger and has 455 catches for 5,295 yards and 47 touchdowns across his 10 years in the NFL.

UPDATE 8:29 a.m. ET: Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Henry will sign a two-year, $16 million extension that can be worth up to $20 million. The pact includes $14.5 million in guaranteed money and a $4.2 million signing bonus.
