Jets place DL T’Vondre Sweat on the active/non-football injury list

The Jets made three moves on Saturday ahead of the start of training camp next week.

They included placing defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat on the active/non-football injury list. Zack Rosenblatt of TheAthletic.com reports that Sweat has a minor hamstring injury that is not expected to keep him sidelined long.

The acquisition of Sweat, in a trade with the Titans, was one of the team’s key offseason moves. Sweat totaled 34 tackles and two sacks last season.

The Jets placed wide receiver Tim Patrick and defensive end Tyler Baron on the active/physically unable to perform list.

Baron is working his way back from a knee injury that ended his rookie season in Week 14 last season. He appeared in six games in 2025, playing 95 defensive snaps and 35 special teams snaps and recorded nine tackles, including a tackle for loss.

Patrick, whose injury is undisclosed, signed with the Jets in May after appeared in 16 games for the Jaguars last season. He totaled 15 receptions for 187 yards and three touchdowns in 2025.
