Lions place Brian Branch, Kerby Joseph on PUP list

A pair of safeties are set to start Lions training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

The team announced on Sunday that Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph have both been placed on the list. Tight end Tyler Conklin is also on the list as the team nears their first practices of the summer.

Branch tore his Achilles last December and head coach Dan Campbell said in June that he has not had any setbacks in his recovery. Campbell declined to set a target date for his return to action, however.

Joseph missed 11 games with a knee injury in 2025. Campbell said “I honestly do not know” when Joseph will be back when he gave his most recent update on the safety’s condition.
