Lions worked out free agent CB Trevon Diggs

The Lions worked out free agent cornerback Trevon Diggs, according to the NFL’s personnel notice.

Diggs, 27, became a free agent Jan. 20 when the Packers cut him after two games and 34 snaps. The Packers had claimed him off waivers from the Cowboys on Dec. 31.

Diggs led the league with 11 interceptions in 2021, but he has not been the same player since his knee problems began in 2023. He tore his ACL in September 2023 and underwent an additional surgery on his knee in December 2024.

In January 2025, Diggs underwent a chondral tissue and bone graft surgery on his left knee to repair persistent cartilage damage.

He has played only 22 games over the past three seasons.

The Cowboys drafted Diggs in the second round in 2020, and he was twice a Pro Bowler and, in 2021, was an All-Pro.
