Report: Tom Pelissero is expected to be let go by ESPN/NFL Network

The names continue to emerge regarding the new round of layoffs at ESPN and NFL Network, which ESPN now owns and operates.

Via Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Tom Pelissero is expected to be let go.

Peliserro joined NFLN in 2017. Along with Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, they formed an in-house trio that had become the self-styled “Insiders.”

It’s unclear whether Pelissero’s contract had expired or whether the move comes with time remaining on it. It’s an important distinction, because ESPN reportedly had decided to keep all NFLN employees for the balance of their current deals before deciding whether to retain them.

Previously, Rapoport received an extension with ESPN. Garafolo was reportedly expected to get one, too.
