Steelers sign DB Israel Mukuamu

The Steelers have brought in a defender that Mike McCarthy knows well.

Pittsburgh announced on Thursday that the club has signed defensive back Israel Mukuamu to a one-year deal.

Mukuamu, 26, was a Cowboys sixth-round pick in 2021 when McCarthy was Dallas’ head coach. He appeared in 50 games with three starts for the Cowboys over his first four seasons, mainly playing special teams.

He was with the Panthers in 2025, appearing in one contest for the club.

As a corresponding move, the Steelers released cornerback Ahmari Harvey.
