The assault allegation against Geno Smith is “not an active case”

Earlier today, there was a question as to whether the assault allegation involving Jets quarterback Geno Smith was, or wasn’t, the subject of an open case.

Rich Cimini of ESPN has clarified the situation.

Cimini also notes that the Jets aren’t commenting on the situation.
