Vaughn Grissom led the offense with three hits and four runs batted in and Walbert Urena allowed just one run over seven innings to earn his ninth win of the season. Spencer Jones went deep for the eighth time this season for the Yankees in the loss.
The win snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Angels while the loss slowed New York’s momentum after a successful weekend against the Red Sox.
