Seahawks, Leonard Williams agree to three-year, $90 million extension

The Seahawks are working to keep one of their defensive stars on the club into the future.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Seattle and defensive lineman Leonard Williams have agreed to a three-year extension.

Rapoport notes the deal is worth $90 million.

Williams, 32, was entering the last year of his contract with the Seahawks. He’s been with the club since midway through the 2023 season, playing 43 games. He’s recorded 22.0 sacks with 34 tackles for loss and 61 quarterback hits for Seattle.

Last season, Williams tallied 7.0 sacks, nine TFLs, and 22 QB hits in the regular season. He then had a sack, a tackle for loss, and three QB hits in three postseason games as Seattle won Super Bowl LX.

The No. 6 overall pick of the 2015 draft out of USC, Williams has recorded 61.5 career sacks with 93 TFLs and 223 QB hits for the Jets, Giants, and Seahawks.
