Packers tight end Tucker Kraft took a big step back toward the lineup on Sunday.
Head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters at a pre-practice press conference that they might be in for a treat when asked when Kraft would move into team drills and those reporters later shared that Kraft participated in 11-on-11 work for the first time since tearing his ACL last season.
Kraft has been aiming for a Week 1 return all offseason, although LaFleur said earlier this summer that he could take part in a joint practice with the Cardinals on August 26. The return to full team work would seem to make that likelier, but the team has time to make that call.
Kraft is in line for a contract extension and continued health should help his chances of landing one before the final year of his rookie deal is over.
